About Me:
I am a 24 year old, extremely athletic, super-nice guy. I served my mission in the Guatemala City South Misson and absolutely loved it. I am now serving as Elder's Quorum President in my young single adult ward. My life revolves around Gospel worship and service, school, work and competitive middle and long distance running. I am attending the University of Oregon, majoring in Sports Marketing, and Spanish. I'm trying to walk-on the Track team, my time-trial tryout is in November. I work for the park and recreation district as a grant instructor for elementry school kids, tutoring them, and playing with them. I'm an assistant cross country coach at my old high school.
Hobbies
Temple trips. Church. Running anywhere, but especially on trails, and beaches. Sleeping, football, weightlifting, ultimate-frisbee, swimming, hiking, biking, commandos games, spaghetti-eating contests, root-beer mile races, camping, cooking, bbq-ing, bonfires, backyard games, lasertaging, hanging out, watching movies, Working myself out to exhaustion.
Favorite Quote
"...I want you to be manly, to be vibrant and strong and happy. To those who are athletically inclined, I want you to be good athletes and strive to become champions..."-Gordon B. Hinckley (Personal Worthiness to Exercise the Priesthood; April 2002 General Conference)

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around and shouting that he has been robbed. The fact of the matter is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey...delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have the ride."- Gordon B. Hinckley
Favorite Scripture
"And behold, I am also a man of no small reputation among all those who know me; yea, and behold, I have many kindreds and friends, and I have also acquired much riches by the hand of my industry." Alma 10:4
Share Your Testimony With Others
I know that we are all children of a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ is His only begotten Son and the Creator and Savior of the world. I know that He called Joseph Smith to be the prophet of the Restoration of the His Church. I know that the Priesthood is the power of God on the earth. I know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the Book of Mormon is a true record and testimony of Jesus Christ.

I'm not really sure. I've never tried to use the music player provided. I'd ask someone who has one on their profile.

Hm... How've I been.. I've been a lot of things lately. Some good, some bad, but that's just life.

No joke. People would do well to remember it.
I have a few friends who use facebook, but I've never made a profile. I heard about this site on an LDS forum a while ago. I pretty much know the ropes, so if you have questions just ask.

Howdy John! I love your name, it is my brother's as well. I like your second quote. It's hanging on the wall in my front room. I think there is a lot more beauty in life than most people think, but it's easiest to see if you're thankful.
