Share Your Testimony With Others
Hi all!
I figured that it was about time that I share my Testimony. I grew up the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day-Saints, but I didn't have a true conversion until I was 14. When I was younger I always went to church and figured that it was true because of course our parents know everything, right? Anyway it wasn't until I was 12 and began Young womens that I really started paying attention in church I soon began to wonder for myself if this was the true church. At first I began changing my choice of movies and music. When I got a little older I started sincerely praying and studying the scriptures. To be honest the main reason that I had the desire to learn more about the church and what we believe was because when I was in 8th grade the guy I had a crush on knew all the answers in Sunday school and I wanted to know the answers and to have the confidence that he seemed to have in the gospel.I knew that the only way I would know if the Book of Mormon was true was to read it and pray about it so I did that. From cover to cover. Everytime I read it I was even more confident that it was true, I knew it. Everything that I read seemed to make perfect sense, I just knew that it had to be true.

My parents were never strict about the gospel. I have always knownt that they have tried very hard to show us how important it is. And to teach us, but they never said "oh you can't watch R-rated movies", "that song has horrible lyrics" They never forced it on me. I am so glad for that, I think that making up my mind on my own and finding out for myself has made me understand it better and to appriciate it better. It means more to me than it would have if I just did it because they told me to.

Since then I have always tried to take the Gospel seriously and I've tried to live it. Sometimes it is easier than others. I am FAR from where I should be and I have some changes that I know I need to make, I guess thats why we are here right? My Tesimony is continually growing and I feel I have a long ways to go.

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day-Saints is the true church. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I am so greatful for the many sacrifices that he made to bring the gospel back to the earth. For his dedication and strength. I know that I am a daughter of God and that he wants me to be happy and he loves me. He wants the same for everyone else.

I am so greatful for Jesus Christ. He gave us the most precious gift that anyone could ever recieve. He was such a wonderful example, I want to be like him. I want to return to our Father in Heaven, along with my family and friends. I am very greatful for the family that I have, they have helped me in probably more ways than I know.

I love the Gospel and I am so greatful to have it in my life.
I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Using Judgement, and not being Judgemental

I realize that I need to work on not being judgemental. So when i started going to my new ward I really wanted to be careful of it and try my hardest to not judge people right off. As I have been working on this, and not being 100% successfull, I have realized that there is a differecence in being Judgemental and usuing good Judgement.

For example: we are always told that our friends are important and that we need to be careful of who we surround ourselves with because they will be a big influe… Continue

Appriciating the Atonement

I came across a scripture the other day in 2 Nephi 9:7-9 which reads...
"Wherefore, it must needs bean infinite atonement- save it should be an infinite atonement this corruption could not put on incorruption. Wherefore, the first judgment which came upon man must needs have remained to an endless duration. And if so this flesh must have laid down to rot and to crumble to its mother earth, to rise no more.
O the wisdom of God, his mercy and grace! For behold, if the flesh should rise no more our… Continue

Un puente es la distancia
que me separa de tí
una mirada de nostalgia
y una sonrisa que te dí

Paso a paso me acerqué
con un libro en manos
sólo por encontrarte pensé
Dios, estos son tus milagros

Alguien más bella no hay
tersa piel y mirada angelical
estoy a sus pies, sin hablar
estoy en sus ojos sin respirar

Me acerco y comienzo a vivir
abro el libro y comienzo a decir
no existe alguien como tu
y a lo que escribo le falta tu luz

Pudiera expresar mil cosas,
decirte palabras hermosas
gastar en papel mis ideas
o regalarte tesoros y rosas
