Family Food Supply Part of Being Prepared for Tough Times

SALT LAKE CITY | 8 Jul 2009 | A recent story in the Washington Post tells of one woman's experience of using one of the home storage centers of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons) to prepare a reserve of dry-packed food for her family. For decades leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have encouraged Mormons to have a reasonable supply of food on hand for unforeseen times of need and emergencies. The Church operates over 100 storage centers to help facilitate this.
